Dr. Kirschenbaum is the chairman of orthopaedics at Bronx Lebanon Hospital and specializes in hip and knee replacement, complex revision surgery, major hip and knee surgery,and joint trauma surgery of all the joints.

Dr. Kirschenbaum practices at the Bronxcare Orthopaedic offices and operates at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital as well as NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases in Manhattan.

Dr. Kirschenbaum graduated from Brown University and attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Following his orthopaedic trading at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Madison he received advanced fellowship training in hip and knee replacement and reconstructive surgery at the Rothman Institute and Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Kirschenbaum has the distinction of being a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons as well as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Having performed thousands of joint replacement procedures, Dr. Kirschenbaum was awarded the prestigious Vohs Award for Quality. In 1994, when he was Chief of Reconstructive Surgery for Kaiser Permanente in the Northeast region, he was awarded the distinction for development of a nationally recognized hip and knee replacement program.

In addition to surgery Dr. Kirschenbaum is a leader in health information technology and one of the founding members of Medscape Orthopaedics. The following year he Spent Developing Medscape Orthopaedics he became the national health professional orthopaedics for WebMD. During that time he wrote two patient blogs and moderated the patient message board on joint replacement.
