Thank you for having one of the best doctor on staff.

After what I will call two-botched surgery, the first of which lead to intensive treatment for an infection, that included a pic-line inserted in me for six weeks and at home care for months, and the second sending me to various specialist of which include physical therapist, pain management and nerves doctors. I ended up in doctor Ira Kirschenbaum's office with my right leg two and a half inches shorter than my left.

I explain my dilemma and asked him if he could help me stop feeling all the pain I was in. After an x-ray he told me that my previous operation was failing so bad that the pin in my leg was now piercing the bone (yea I know, I did not want to know either). Doctor Kirschenbaum now assured me that, this would be a simple fix, and not only would I not feel any more pain but he would get that 2, 1/2 inches back, plus he would also remove one of the extra scar from my leg so it look like I only had one operation. (Was this guy kidding.)?

So the day of the operation I asked Dr. Kirschenbaum, how much settling and or adjusting will my leg be doing, he replied "only house settles my joints stay where they are," and I must say he was right. I was walking, one day after surgery with the help of the physical therapist and went back to work six weeks after surgery, and yes he did get the 2,1/2 inches back and remove one scar. What's my occupation you ask? D.O.T Highway Maintenance Worker, yes snowplow, blacktop, dump truck, guide rail the works.

Doctor Kirschenbaum's work is like the science of healing, and I thank him very much for helping me overcome my crisis.

Sincerely,
Christopher H.
